September 12: The crappie spawn on a lot of lakes was not good this year due to the weird spring weather. I have been limiting my kept crappie to about eight per outing. I guided best friends Janie and Dianne for a morning of crappie and bluegill fishing. We kept six of each. Five of the six crappie still had eggs in them.

September 28–October 4: McKenna, Jeff, and Chris each landed a musky in a seven-day period. Some days brought tougher bites, but persistence paid off for the fish of 10,000 casts.

September 24–27: Another amazing year guiding for the Wounded Warriors in Action Eagle River Muskie Chal-Lunge. An honor to share this event with 10 Purple Heart heroes. Thank you all for your service and sacrifice.
