A great morning of non-stop action with bluegill is what they wanted, and they succeeded!
Kris, Olivia, & Jamie had a blast catching well over 100 bluegill. We kept just over a dozen so they could enjoy a meal for four. Jamie had never fished before and the ladies hadn’t set a hook in years, so I worked individually with them on casting, reeling, & hooksetting.
Before too long, they were all reeling in one fish after another with bluegill up to 9”! Olivia & Jamie were in town from up-state NY visiting friends.

Fishing Reports
Water temps have delayed the smallmouth spawn on deeper clear lakes, while walleye and perch remain buried in newly accelerated weed growth. Keep an eye out for pike and musky mixed in!
